Monthly Breakfast Workshop - For many moms the task of bringing up boys can
seem very daunting. They worry that they might not have the skills needed to
help them grow into men. This FREE workshop promises to provide the

am. February’s topic: Against All Odds You Can Make It Mom!. The first 10

The Great Backyard Bird Count - This annual
four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to
create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent. Come

sponsored by Sacramento Audubon. Anyone can participate, from beginning bird
watchers to experts. It takes as little as 15 minutes on one day, or you can

(didgeridoo), Tibet (singing bowls and tingsha), and Italy (baroque recorder).

Monday’s) 4H is a fun activity! Children and

Geology (New Exhibit!) Rocks and fossils fill the museum during this
exhibit. You can interact with hundreds of specimens by experimenting at the
geology stations. The nature of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rock can
be explored through hands-on experiences. Free with admission to museum. Tues –

Born to Ride: Motorbikes Past and
Present (Now through 3/12) Feel the adrenaline rush as you experience the evolution of the
motorbike! This exhibit will include early 20th century models,
classic cruisers, contemporary customs, concept prototype illustrations and a
unique collection of racing motorcycles and artifacts. Some of the bikes
on exhibit will include a 1914 Indian once owned by Steve McQueen, a rare 1942
Crocker, and a collection of racing motorcycles, chronicling local and regional
racing history. Going Green: It’s Cool for the
Planet (Permanent) exhibit showcases a range
of vehicles that span the turn of the 20th century to the early
years of the 21st century, including prototype experimental vehicles
that have helped develop hydrogen fuel cells, as well a electric plug-in
technology that is expected to be widely available in the next 5 years. Open

& Secrets: The Crockers and the Gilded Age (Now through 5/9) A new exhibit at the Crocker
Art Museum pays tribute to the Museum’s
founders and shares the stories of philanthropy, eccentricity and high style
that made the Crockers the epitome of the Gilded
Age. Breathtaking jewelry, dramatic gowns,
china, furniture, personal letters, paintings and photographs tell the
lesser-known side of the Crocker family’s story.
Meadows and Mountains: The Art of William F. Jackson (Now through 5/9)
"Our Union Forever:
Carried with
Courage - A remarkable and unique
collection of Civil War flags from the Capitol Historic Flag Collection on
display in the Library Exhibit Room. Some
of these flags were flown on display on the parade ground, while others have
accompanied Californians into battle. This exhibit is a unique opportunity and
will offer the public a once in a lifetime chance to view this remarkable

Joe Goode Performance Group (2/24 – 26) American Movement Series - the San Francisco dance company that’s earned an international reputation for fearless productions that address some of life’s toughest questions, returns to the Mondavi Center with a program of two works. The new work Wonderboy is a collaboration with puppeteer Basil Twist, and has been praised as Goode’s “most absorbing, most humanistic effort in many moons”. Art Beast Mini-Play’s
for children 3 to 8 years old: Kid’s put on a show! In
this 8 week workshop, children will ready and perform “Tic Tac and Toe and the
Case of the Missing Piggie,” a play about two little pigs searching for their
sibling and a very happy ending. The children will create sets,
accent costumes, receive scripts, learn lines, and get ready for a wonderful
performance for their friends and family. Every Mon. 3:30 – 5 and Wed. 4 – 5 pm
