
Sacramento Public Library presents free “do it yourself” programs
The current economic downturn has become a challenge for many community members. The Sacramento Public Library will provide free programs that offer cost-saving tips in a wide-variety of “do-it-yourself” projects for school-age children, teens, adults, and families.

Concoctions with ArtWorks
Give thanks for all the food you are about to receive by making one-of-a-kind recipe books. Make your own self-hardening clay, pigments, and other art materials from everyday items you might find in the kitchen. Explore the world of design by creating food structures – good enough to eat.

Electrical Repair 101
General contractor Cliff Brackett will discuss simple electrical repairs in your home, from replacing a switch or outlet to changing a light fixture or installing a new outlet. He will show how to use a voltage tester and other basic tools, as well as how to be safe when working around electricity. Cliff will bring a ‘live’ demonstration board for an inside look at the workings of a typical electrical box.
